Much of our current stock of buildings, equipment and energy use practices were developed at a time when energy costs were low and the environmental costs of energy practices not often considered. Accordingly, opportunities for energy efficiency - achieving the same outcomes using less energy - are often both available and attractive. An energy efficiency audit will usually yield a list of potential improvements, at least some of which will have short pay-back periods.
Our energy efficiency audits provide you with a snap-shot of your energy usage in consistent units, including the carbon emissions associated with each primary energy source. While benchmarking data is not always available, comparisons of the clients energy usage with a suitable comparison group will be done where such data is available. The core of each audit is the identification of potential efficiency improvements, together with cost estimates, pay-back periods and associated predicted carbon emission reductions.
